The County Government of Machakos extends its sincere appreciation to residents across the county who turned up in large numbers to present their views and priority projects during the public participation forums on the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) 2026 and the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework for FY 2026/2027–2028/2029.
Citizens from Masinga, Yatta, Mwala, Matungulu, Kangundo, Mavoko, Machakos Town, and Kalama Sub-counties actively engaged in the process, sharing their perspectives and development priorities as envisioned in the laws governing public participation. Their contributions play a vital role in shaping responsive and people-centered planning.
Among the key proposals presented for consideration were the construction of water projects such as boreholes and weirs for both domestic and irrigation use, tarmacking and murruming of roads, installation of street lighting, rehabilitation of bridges, construction of ECDE classrooms, and the development of sanitation and drainage facilities.
The County Government, under the leadership of H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti, values the invaluable input from residents and assures that their views will inform the finalization of the budget and guide the implementation of development projects aimed at achieving sustainable growth and improved service delivery across Machakos County.
